Other Historical Photos
For now, the easiest way I could do this, without a lot of effort, was to create a link from text. When you click on the link the photo will pop-up on your screen. If you right click on the photo a pop-up menu will appear. Select the "save image as" off the menu, and it will save the photo on your PC. If you want to enlarge the photo, you will need to download it to your PC, and then enlarge it.
Except where noted, all photos were scanned from their originals.

Tommy's Glass Prints
Tommy Johnston was a dear old freind of our famly, and Janelle's brother-in-law, Steve, who lived and went to school with Tommy while they lived in Mountville, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. His moter was an antique dealer, and he found these glass prints, which I scanned. I know nothing about them. Other than they may have been taken near the turn of the 20th century. If I find time, I can scan more.

Civil War Veterans A newspaper picture from 1900 showing Civil War veterans who lived in the Dillsburg area during the war. I had at least two ancestors who were from the area; Wrightstone and Kitner.

OF-10 Circa 1912 photo of an Old Blacksmith Shop in Clear Springs, which is located in Franklin Township within the northern York County area of Pennsylvania. 1st blacksmith shop operated by George Hull; the little girl is Lucinda Hull, who married Lewis King. Lucinda is the sister of John and Ralph Hull. The lady is Lucinda's mother, Gartha Hull, and the man with no hat is Gartha's husband, George Hull. The man with the hat is Evans. (Most likely Evans is his last name. OF-10A is a close up of the people, and OF-10B is what is written on the back of the photo.

Franklintown Two Room School House
When I went to school here between 1957 and 1960, from 1st to 3rd grade. There were four grades in two rooms. The 1st to 3rd grades were in one room, the 4th grade was in the other room. I remembr the schoold very well.

OF-25 This is the 1939-40 school year photo of Franklintown school students. My father should be in the photo, but according to Aunt Pat, he never wanted to go to school. In the 3rd row there's an empty space between the a boy, and my Aunt Jean. Probably where my dad should be.

The following photos are from Dulcet Cortege. They are of a teacher Margaret Baker, and of the Smith and Elicker children, in various schools within the present day Northern York County School District.

DC-02 1923 Dillsburg High School Graduation Class; 1923 Dillsburg High School Graduation Class; Margaret Baker is sitting to the left in the front row. Her brother Mervin is in the back row, 3rd from the left. Mervin is one year older then Margaret, but they are graduating together.

The next 2 school pictures are of the Smith children attending school, which we're pretty sure is a school that sat directly across the road from present day South Mountain Elementary, where Northern Apartments are currently located. Again, we're still researching the schools. The years are approximate.
